Mrs. Bertha Lillard of Flint Hill, wife of the late Frank L. Lillard died Tuesday, August 6, 1963, in the Warren Memorial Hospital after a long period of ill health. Born in Madison County, the daughter of the late James Robert and Sarah Nethers Thornhill, she was 71. She is survived by two sons; Robert H. Lillard of Front Royal and Ernest Lillard of Washington; two daughters, Miss Sally Lillard of Front Royal and Mrs. Frank Huff of Washington, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also by two sisters, Mrs. Charlie Frazier of Jeffersonton and Mrs. Eugie Weakley of Staunton. A funeral service will be held Thursday, (today) August 8 at 2:30 p.m. at the Geest Funeral Chapel in Culpeper with the Rev. James B. Grimmer officiating. Interment will be in the Etlan Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers are Carroll Settle, Clyde Lillard, Herbert Foster, Robert Nethers, Nelson Nethers and Lyle Rector.
