Amissville Fire Company answered a call Tuesday to a field fire at the farm of Mrs. J. L. Bray. On Sunday, August 4 the Flint Hill Rescue Squad took Mrs. Bertha Lillard to the Warren Memorial Hospital. The Rappahannock Rescue Squad took Milton Dodson from his home to University Hospital on Monday. On Wednesday they took Mrs. Haywood Jenkins from her home in F. T. Valley to University Hospital. On Friday, August 2, the squad took Harold B. Estes to Newton Baker Hospital in Martinsburg, W. Va. and the same day Mrs. Clifford Woodward was taken to the University Hospital.
