Mrs. B. A. Cooke

Mrs. Nellie Susan Cooke of Amissville died Wednesday, July 31 at her residence. Daughter of the late Alfred S. Baker and Edith Beahm Baker and a native of Sperryville, she was 64. She was a member of Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church near Sperryville. She is survived by her husband Bransom A.Cooke of the home address; a step-daughter, Mrs. Linwood Baker of Warrenton; five step-grandchildren; and four brothers, Charles Wilton Baker of Harrisonburg, Early Baker and Amos Baker of Luray and George Baker of Amissville. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Amissville Baptist Church with the Rev. John Hodge officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Geest Funeral Parlors were in charge of arrangements.
