Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne and family were called to Toano by the death of Mrs. Lyne’s mother Mrs. M. E. Cottrell who died Thursday after a long illness. Funeral services were held on Saturday.
Dr. and Mrs. James M. Thornton and family who have been vacationing and visiting relatives in Rappahannock have returned to “their home in Gate City. Miss B onnie Kay Durden who has been a guest of relatives in Macon, Ga. has returned to her home, accompanied by her grandmother Mrs. W. M. Durden who is visiting her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Durden. Elder and Mrs. J. H a r v e y Daily attended the annual Union meeting at Browntown Saturday and Sunday and were over-night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chari ie Baggerly. Guests last week in the Daily home were Mrs. Lauretta Lockheart, Mrs. Marion Ramey and sons of Front Royal.
Mrs. Jimmy Wayland and son of Arlington who spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Earle Wayland was joined by Mr. Wayland and other son • for the week-end. Larry Wayland was also a week-end guest of his parents.
