George W. Woodward, 69, of Culpeper, retired government employee of the U. S. naval gunnery factory in Washington, D. C. died Saturday, October 26, 1963, in the Culpeper Memorial Hospital. He is survived by ms wite, Mrs. Mary Compton Woodward of Culpeper, one son, Kenneth Emerson Woodward of McLean; one sister, Mrs. Raymond Mills of Culpeper; five brothers, Ron and Arthur Woodward, both of Culpeper, John T. Woodward of Castleton, Egbert Woodward of Amissville and Henry Woodward of Falls Church. A funeral service was held on Monday at Geest Funeral Chapel with interment in Fairview Cemetery. The Rev. F. E. Cleland and the Rev. Koy Peterson officiated. Pallbearers were Roy H. Hitt, John Moffett Brown, Lewis C. Estes, Paul Baker, William D. Cannon and James A. Compton, Sr.
