Two Vehicles Are
Wrecked in Accident
A two vehicle accident occurred Sunday, March 22 at 2:30 a.m. on Route 211, one mile west of Washington. ^ 1953 Oldsmobile sedan, owned and operated by Ethel Christine Tyson of Fairfax and a 1950 Mercury sedan, owned by Lester Blackwell of Cilverton and operated by Fred Edward Holmes of Manassas were total losses. Holmes, apparently traveling too fast for road conditions, ran into the rear of the Tyson car, knocked it off of left hand side of road where it turned over, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin. Ethel Tyson and a passenger, William Fields of Warrenton, were both taken to Fauquier Hospital by the Rappahannock Rescue Squad, where Fields was treated for lacerations of forehead and Ethel Tyson for lacerations of left leg and possible Internal injuries. Holmes, who was unhurt, was charged with reckless driving and no operators license, said Mr. Buntin.
