Rev. Hodge Resigns

Baptist Pastorate

Rev. John B. Hodge, pastor of Amissville and Forest Grove Baptist Churches, has tendered his resignation from the pastorate effective April 26. He made the announcement Sunday. Rev. Hodge has been pastor of the two churches for eight years and eight months. He has accepted a call to Salem Baptist Church near Fredericksburg.

4-H Club News

Hope Bailey presided at the meeting of the Sperryville 1 4-H Club when it met on the 16th of March. The roll was called and minutes read by secretary Bar bar a Durden. After devotions, Bonnie Durden lead group singing and then project work was done. A demonstration on salad mak ing was given by Barbara Duk den. Janet Payne reported the meeting. Washington III 4-H Club met last week under the direction of Carty Moffett, president. Lizzie led the group in devot ions and Gail Updike, Charlotte Printz and Bobby Weakley reported on the suo cessful 4-H supper held recently. Project work was done and the meeting adjourned, according to reporter, Gail Updike.
