Charles H. White
A funeral service for Charles Henry White, well known Linden orchardist, was held Saturday, March 2.2 in the chapel of Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. J. Robert Woodside with interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Mr. White, the son of the late Alfred L. and Acton Downing White died Wednesday, March 18, 1964 in the Warren Memorial Hospital. He was 83. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Lavinia Dudley White; three sons, Frank of Salisbury Md., Alfred L. of Linden and Robert D. of Front Royal; three daughters, Mrs. F. D. Whitworth of Front Royal, Mrs John Cowan of Linden and Mrs. T. K. Ballard of Palo Alta, Calif, and nine grandchildren. Surviving also are two sisters Mrs. G. V. Stewart and Mrs. Lawrence Swan of Front Royal. Pallbearers were Robert Leach, Francis Dudley, Frank Tipson, Henry Downing, J. H. Downing and Ben Lacy.
