Speaking to the Board of Directors of the Tuberculosis and Health Association of Northern Virginia at their quarterly meeting on Thursday night, Carl A. Lindstorm Regional Program Director for Air Pollution Activities of the Department of Health, Education and Welfare of Charlottesville Region III, brought out the fact that pollutants in the air, whether visible or not are injurious to property; health and plant life, all of which affect the economics of those persons concerned. Describing the basis particulate as being one miscron large, of one twenty-five thousanth of an inch in size, Mr. Lindstrom compared it to a human hair which is 50 microns in diameter. He ex plained that whether the micron which started the pol lution was of gas or solid material, when it mixed with water or any form of water, it changed in chemical composition.
