Mr. and Mrs. Roy Atkins of Sperryville entertained with a party on March 22 honoring the birthdays of Mrs. Atkins parents Mr. and Mrs. Conner Jenkins of Slate Mills. Following the dinner the Jenkins’ opened the many presents from family and friends. Among those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jenkins and family and George Jenkins of Manassas; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins and family of Fairfax; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Racer and family of Slate Mills; Mrs. Haywood Jenkins and Mrs. Willie Jenkins of Sperryville; Roy Sisk of Woodville, and Levi Atkins of Amissville.

With the exception of a son Nelson Jenkins, stationed in the armed forces at Fort Carson, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins had all their children with them for the occasion.
