Wednesday, March 18 the Flint Hill Fire Company reported to a field fire, at the home of Robert Jordan. The Sperryville Fire Company went to the fire at the home of Otis Brown in Amiss ville. The house was a total loss. Amissville Fire Company went to the Otis Brown residence on March 19. On March 17 and 19 they were called to brush fires at the home of Ken Parker and on the Morgan property where a power line fell causing the fire. ' . The Chester Gap Fire Dept. Ambulance transported Mrs. Maude M. McNabof the Cherry wood Apt. in Front Royal to the Warren Memorial Hospital.
The Rappahannock Rescue Squad answered calls as follows: Thursday, March 19th, the daughter of Oscar Sisk taken from home at Peola Mills to Culpeper Memorial. Friday, Judy Poling taken from home in Amissville to Fauquier County Hospital. Early Sunday morning 3 passengers from an automobile wreck at Ginger Hill taken to Fauquier hospital. Also on Sunday Bertha Bailey taken from Smedley Hollow to Warren Memorial Hospital.
