Arrow Order Noted
The Boy Scouts of America celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of the Order of the Arrow with scouting activities during the past weekend, August 13, 14 and 15. Selected to be the head of festivities for the Shenandoah Area Council of Boy Scouts was Page Moffett of Troop #64, Washington, Va. The Order of the Arrow i$ an organization in scouting in which boys are selected for their high feeling of scouting, high calibre of camping, cheer ful service to others and to the scouting ideals in everyday life. Page was selected from the three hundred boys in the Order of the Arrow in the Shenandoah Area Council to head the anniversary activities held at Camp Rock Enon at Gore, Va. and to head this council for the coming year. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.i W. H. Moffett, Jr. and grandson of Mrs. Louemma Moffett, Washington. Initiated into the Order of the | Arrow during the weekend! were Boy Scouts Wade W. j Massie and Stewart Hawkins of . Troop #64, Washington and C. E. Dodson and Roy Thomas of Troop #65, Sperryville. This is considered one of the highest honors in scouting.
