The groom’s maternal grandmother, Mrs. Hazel Underwood of Somerset, Ohio, chose for the wedding a creme brocade dress with matching accessories. Her corsage consisted of minature white carnations. Following the ceremony, a reception prepared by Miss Karol Underwood, Mrs. Jeanie Bouscaren and Mrs. Betty Alego who also presided at the' punch bowls, was held in the church parish hall. Mrs. Martha Koehler of Midland, Michigan, sister of the groom and Mrs. Lillian Christensen of Washington, D. C., cousin of the bride served the wedding cake. Miss Joyce Ratliff of Arlington was in charge of the guest book. For her traveling costume, Mrs. Mautz chose a blue linen dress with tan accessories and a corsage of white sweet heart roses.
Prenuptial parties given in the couple's honor included a kitghen shower given by Mr. "and Mrs. Robert Curry at their home in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and a surprise luncheon at the Black Saddle Resrau rant Washington, D. C. given Miss Many by her friends at the American National Red Cross at which time she was presented with a set of Franciscan China. Mr. and Mrs. William H. Mautz entertained the wedding party and relatives of both the bride and groom after rehearsal on August 13th at their home in Bethesda, Mary land. After a trip to New York City Mr. and Mrs. Mautz will make their home in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
