A successful four nights Is reported by Amissville Fire Company after the close of the annual carnival Saturday night. However, an account of receipts is not available this week. Winners in the Thursday night parade were: best appearing fire apparatus over 500 gpm, Dunn Loring; best appearing 500 gpm and under, Chantilly; best appearing fire company and men, West Lanham Hills, Md.; apparatus com ing longest distance, West Lanham Hills; oldest fire apparatus, Strasburg; best appearing and equipped rescue squad, Lorton; second, Chantilly; best band, Harpers Ferry High School; best appearing majorette group, Gainesville Firettes; second, West Lanham Hills; best solo majorette, Pattie Kaenig; best civic float, Rappahannock Lions Club; best comic float, Purcellville; best commercial float, Lewis Judd. Miss Brenda Hackley earned the title of Amissville Carnival Queen in a contest which closed Thursday and the coronation took place Friday evening. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hackley. She will represent Amiss ville as Honorary Fire Chief for the ensuing year. In second place was Miss Gail Frazier, followed by Miss Donna Story, Peggy Hitt and Nancy Corder. C. H. Davis of Amissville was awarded the grand prize, a 65 Valiant, on Saturday night
