OBITUARIES
Clifton S. Jenkins
Clifton S. Jenkins, 44, of Winchester, a former resident of Sperryville and the son of the late Joseph A. and Myrtle B. Jenkins died on August 11, 1965 at the Winchester Memorial Hospital. Following funeral services which were held from the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester on Monday, afternoon, August 16. Interment was in the family section of the Sperryville Cemetery. The services were conducted by the family pastor, Rev. Robert Field. Serving as pallbearers were Thomas Streit, John Streit, Phillip Lowry, F.rnest Jenkins Jr., Gary Streit and Chester Fllis. The deceased is survived by two sisters, Mrs, Charles Streit of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. John Lowery of Winchester.
Mr*. Ro*a S. William*
Mrs. Rosa Smith Williams, 88, of Chester Gap died Thurso day, August 12 at the home of her son, Stanley Williams, in Chester Gap. She was the widow of Walter Williams and daughter of the late Americus and Fannie W1F liams Smith. Surviving are two sons, Stanley and Herman Wil liams of Chester Gap; two daughters. Mrs. Addie Wines of Chester Gap and Mrs. Wei tie Willis of Front Royal; 25 grandchildren, 52 great-grand children and 5 great-greatgrandchildren.
A funeral service was held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Chester Gap Baptist Mission, conducted by the Rev. Irving Johnson, assisted by the Rev. Ralph Rasberry with inter merit in the Williams family cemete ry.
Pallbearers were grandsons. Maynard. Melvin, Bobby and Jimmy Williams, Ldward and Robert Wines.
