Methodist Worker’s

School Set Oct. 17-21

The Board of Managers for the annual Culpeper Zone Christian Worker’s School met Sunday evening, August 15 and elected the Rev. Hugh J. Winston, Jr., Pastor of Culpeper Methodist Church, to serve as chairman of the Board. This year’s school will be held Sunday, October 17 through Thursday, October 21 in Culpeper Methodist Church. Classes will be held for two 50-minute periods each evening and are open to all church workers who would like to improve their competence as Christian leaders, l-.xpenses for the school are provided through the Board of education of the Va. Conference of the Methodist Church and contributing local Methodist Churches. The only expenses for the students are their transportation and the purchasing of an economical textbook for the course in which they are enrolled. Courses to be offered this year are: “Understanding Children,” “Old TestamentContent and Values” and “The Work of the Local Church.” Teachers will be announced as soon as they are definitely confirmed. The Board of Managers, which includes the Pastor,the Church School Supt., and the Chairman of the commission on l-.ducation of all the Methodist Churches in the Culpeper Zone, is requested to meet Sunday, August 29 at 7:30 p. m. in Culpeper Methodist Church.
