There is no change in the amount of work required under social security for eligibility for disability insurance benefits. Other persons who will want to inquire about possible new social security benefits include widows past 60 who have remarried and women 62 or over who were divorced after at least 20 years of marriage. Mrs. Daly emphasized that persons over 65 should not cancel any hospital or medical insurance they now have because of the new law. She said: “None of the health in surance provisions of the law gives any protection whatsoever until July 1, 1966.”
