Fruit Stains Most fruit and berry stains come out easily if boiling water is poured through the fabric while the stain is still wet. Don’t try this, though, unless you know the fabric can take the boiling water treatment. If you’re not sure, sponge im mediately with cool water. Then apply a glycerine or soap less shampoo and rinse. Do not use soap. This will set the stain. If stain remains after the shampoo treatment, use a chlo rine or peroxygen bleach. This method works well on most washable fabrics. To check to see whether tJte blrfich will affect—the^ cold»^ test on a seam that doesn’t show.
