Promotes Sewing
The Rappahannock Arts and Crafts Project is calling a meeting of all women desiring to sew articles for sale. The meeting will be held April 26 at Cab-Inn, Sperryville at 10 a.m. Many different patterns and suggestions for aprons, towels, pillow cases, crochet and knit items will be on hand. Members of the project will discuss making and decorating and patterns can be copied. Samples of all kinds of this work that can be brought in and ideas shared with others should be helpful to women with lots of small leftover pieces of cloth that might be turned into something useful.
The Committee members are willing to pick up anyone who does not have transportation, living near them. And they will also permit finished items to be sold at their next Arts and Crafts fall show.
All women attending should bring paper and pencil and a pair of scissors.
