The marriage of Miss Betty Lee Glascock to John Garland Russell III was solemnized at four o’clock Saturday afternoon, April 9, 1966, in the First Presbyterian Church, Winchester. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Julian Carper Glascock and the late Mr. Glascock of Summit Point, West Va. Mr. Russell is the son of Mrs. J. C>. Russell, Jr. and the late Mr. Russell of Flint Hill. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Daniel D. Dickenson, Jr. of Stone Chapel Presbyterian Church before an altar banked with gladioli, chrysanthemums and candelabra. !'!f6^eph Leary, organist, presented a program of nuptial music including “Traumerei" by Schumann, “Intermezzo” by Mascagni and the traditional wedding marches. Soloist was Mrs. John Porter Burns of Cha rles Town, West Va. who sang “Entreat Me Not to Leave Thee”, “O Perfect Love’ and “The Lord’s Prayer”. Given in marriage by her uncle, Harry Garland Athey, the bride wore a chapel train gown of satin-faced ivory peau de soie.
