James William Thomas, 44, of Sperryville died of a heart attack Thursday, April 7,1966, while being treated in a doctor’s office. He was afcarpenter and tree surgeon, the son of Willie J. and Virgie Baker Thomas of Sperryville. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Pullen Thomas; four daughters, Mrs. Raymond Smoot, Mrs. Lonnie Clatterbuck and Mrs. James Fincham of Sperryville and Mrs, Delmar Hamm of Culpeper; one son, Charles William Thomas of Sperryville; three brothers, Roy W. and Cover Lee Thomas of Sperryville and Bobby Lewis Thomas of Luray two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Flncham of Sperryville and Mrs. Billie Lou Wean of Pennsylvania; and eight grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held Saturday in the Washington Masonic Ceme:ery with the Rev. Ethel Harrington, pastor of Sperryville Pentecostal Church officiating
