Callie Lee Putnam
Callie Lee Putnam, 70, of Marshall, died April 7, 1966. Be was the son of the late Benjamin and Alice Fishback Putnam. His wife, Earnle Putnam, died in 1963. Survivors include three laughters, Mrs. Lewis Hackley of Amissville, Mrs. Russell Grimsley, Marshall and Mrs. Walter Weaver, Orlean; three sons, Marvin and Elmer Putnam of War re nton and Robert Putnam, Hume; two sisters, Mrs. Milton Payne of Amissville and Mrs. Bert Cameron, Baltimore, Md.; one brother, Noah Putnam of Front Royal; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Out of town friends and relatives here on April 5 to attend the funeral of Sylvan W. Carver of Culpeper were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Weaver, Dr. and Mrs. John J. Casey, Miss Patty Faye Wood, Mrs. Raymond Moats, and Mr. and Mrs. Newman Scott of Alexandria; James Bennett, Jr., and Emer son Bennett of Arlington; Claude Carver, Mrs. Hodges, Mr. and Mrs. James O’Hara of Upperville; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Beck of Fairfax; Mrs. Charles Butler, Sr. and Charles Butler, Jr. of Annandale; Mrs. Ron Bergman of Northville, Mich.; Mrs. Hazel Allen and Miss Jerry Allen of Bayonne, N. J. and Mrs. Harold Nicholson of Baltimore Md. John Gaines entered Culpeper Memorial Hospital on April 5 for tests and x-rays and returned home on Saturday.
