On Monday, September 26 our first 4-H Club meeting was held at Washington Graded School. There were 26 members present, 15 boys and 11 girls. Mr. W. H. Lyne was the boys' instructor and Miss Brown was the girls’ instructor.. We elected our officers: Florence Turner, president; Hugh Frye, vice, president; Deborah Turner, secretary; Ernest Dennis, song leader; and Ronnie Myers reporter.
