The marriage of Mips Phyliss Kay Frazier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Frazier of Culpeper, to Frank Ray Frazier, Jr., soh of Mr. and Mrs. Frazier* Sr. of Boston was solemnized Saturday, September 10 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Culpeper Baptist Church. The Rev. John S. Farrar, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with white gladioli, white stock, palms and lighted candelabra. Harry E. Forbes, of Culpeper, organist, played the nuptial music. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an Empire style gown of white satin brocade and crepe, with a bateau neckline, short sleeves on a brocaded bodice and an AVFW

Culpeper County Post 2524 Veterans of Foreign Wars will sponsor its annual horse & pony show at Rhoda-Lea Farm, Stevensburg, Virginia on October 1st and 2nd. The show grounds are located about 8 miles east of Culpeper or 27 miles west of Fredericks' burg on Highway Route No. 3. Entry fee will be $1.00 in all classes with the exception of class No. 14 in the Western division (flat race) which will be $5.00. Post entry accepted. Saturday’s show (October 1st is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. and will feature the hunter show for horses and ponies Championship will be awarded in small pony, large pony and hunter (horse). There will be a class for each division in warm up, under saddle, hack, handy hunter and touch and out or knock down and out.
