The object of this suit is to obtain a divorce a vinculo matrimonii (final divorce) from the defendant on the grounds of desertion and that the custody of the irffant children of said marriage, Saraetta Ward and Henry J. Ward, Jr., be awarded to the complainant.

And an affidavit having been made and filed that the defendant, Henry Ward, is not a resident of the State of Virginia, it is ordered that he do appear here within ten (10) days after due publication hereof, and do what may be necessary to protect his interest in this suit.

It is further ordered that a copy hereof be published once a week for four successive weeks in the Rappahannock News, a newspaper published in the Town of Washington, Rappahannock County, Virginia; and that a copy hereof be posted at the front door of the courthouse of this County within ten (10) days from the entry of this order and that the Clerk mail a copy hereof to said defendant at the Post Office address given in the affidavit herein within ten (10) days after the entry of said order and file a certificate of the fact in the papers of this cause.
