2-Car Collision Dec. 8

On 211; No Injuries

Thursday, December 8 a two car collision occurred on Route 211 four miles west of Amissville at 9;15 a.m. Mrs. Mary Clark Atkins operating a 66 Chevrolet owned by Roadcap Atkins, Amissville pulled from her driveway onto the highway and was struck by an approaching vehicle. The car, a 66 Ford operated by Robert L. Welch and owned by his father, Robert E. Welch, Flint Hill, struck the right side of the Atkins car, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin.

Damage to the Atkins car was estimated at $450 and to the Welch vehicle $400. Mrs. Atkins was charged with failing to yield the right of way.
