Rappahannock County shapes up as a happy hunting ground for marrlage^-mihded gals. Bachelors abound In the local area. By official count, there are 167 of them parading around loose for every 100 single women. Elsewhere in the United States, the margin is 124 to 100 and, in the State of Virginia, 139 to 100. The findings, covering the entire country, were compiled by the Department of Commerce. They show' that the proportion of bachelors to single women is much greater ip some areas than in others. In many communities, the surplus is in the other direction. Of Rappahannock County's male population over age 14, 33.5 percent have never been married, the figures show.
