Restricts Billboards
The December meeting of the Town Council of Washington was routine except for the vote to restrict billboard advertising.
This had never been a problem within the town limits until the County Board of Supervisors adopted a Zoning Code limiting the use of out of County billboard advertising. Since then two large ones have been erected. Members felt that if this was allowed to continue the Town would eventually develop into a billboard jungle.
