Fox Hunters Hold
Annual Meeting
The Northern Virginia Fox Hunters Association, in session Dec. 9 for their final quarterly meeting of the year at the Second National Bank of Culpeper, elected officers for the coming year. C. C. Clark of Woodville was reelected president and James M. Gibbs of Pratts (Madison County) was chosen as vicepresident.
Directors elected to serve a two year term included: Oliver Durant II of Culpeper County, T. Roy Wright of Fauquier, Frank Coppage of Madi son, Earl Tuel of Orange, and Richard W. Burke of Rappahannock.
Other officers elected were R. G. Apperson, registered agent and W. H. Lyne, secretary.
The association’s financial report indicated another successful year with receipts exceeding disbursements slightly better than $100.00 exclusive of donations. The association boasts of having 193 members during the year and having sponsored a successful field trial and bench show attracting an entry totaling 327 fox hounds.
At conclusion of the meeting tire group voted to sponsor its third Trials - Bench Show in 1967. The next meeting was set for January 13.
