Panther Tales

The second and third basketball games of the season took place this past week. One, a home game against Page Coun ty on December 6 ended with a score of 82 for Page and 52 for Rappahannock. The other, an away game played against Broadway on December 9 finished up with Broadway 82 and Rappahannock 42. Though our boys played hard and well in both games the obstacles of height and weight presented by the other teams were too difficult to overcome. These have not discouraged us. We are still determined. Friday Mr. Stuart Guttentag of the General Motors •Previews of Progress* presented a very Interesting and Informative program to R.C.H.S. students. Some of the experiments startled and surprised the students. All of them presented a challenge for our young sclentit Sunday Mrs. Burford entered the Doctors' Hospital in Washington, D. C. to undergo surgery. She will be absent from school for about 3 weeks and we shall miss her greatly. We all wish her a speedy recovery.
