A. T. Reed, Area Manager for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company, today announced his company's filing with the State Corporation Commission itfe plans to make available improved telephone services at lower rates for some 80,000 of its subscribers in outlying areas beginning January 1, 1967. Reed pointed out that many customers now subscribing to Individual and multi-party (2 and 4 party) service will benefit from the substantially lower band mileage charges particularly in the Culpeper area Since approximately 60% of its telephone subscribers are party line customers.
