According to Reed, present mileage charges, which depend on how far the c&P telephone customer is located from the established “base
replaced by four bands with a flat charge applying for each of the newly established bands. Customers are presently charged for each one-half mile they are situated from the base rate area. Under the new plan maximum band mileage charges will be $8.00 for an individual line. For a number of customers this will mean a savings of as much as $10.50 a month. Beginning in January c&P employees will contact the customers involved to determine what class of improved service they desire. Junior Firemen Sponsor Dance
