boutnampton county again led the eastern section in kill with 1,209 animals. Sussex County ranked second with 735 followed by Surry County where 593 were bagged. All three of the leading counties were down about 20% from last year’s harvest. Most eastern counties with bucks-only seasons made slight gains over the previous season. Buckingham County managed to struggle into fourth place among eastern counties with a kill of 530 animals in spite of the bucks only limitation.
