Monday an assembly was held after lunch to present the candidates to the student body. Each one was introduced by a speech from his or her campaign manager. I have a few items of news that should interest our sports fans. Last week tryouts were held for a girls’ basketball team. Twenty-five to 30 girls stayed after school for the session, which was conducted by Miss Jean Lillard. The nahnes of the team members were announced Friday. The girls plan to play the school’s alumnae at a later date.
Varsity baseball practice will begin in the middle of March. Details will be given at a later date. Mr. Ballard is making plans to organize a golf team of R.C.H.S. boys. Last week a
