Panther Tales

On Tuesday, February 21, the Student Cooperative Association held its annual Sweetheart party. At 9 o’clockMiss Betty Jenkins was crowned Sweetheart Q4te e n by Miss Joan Lee. Betty had received a total of 17,419 votes amounting to $174.19. For her coronation Betty wore a sky blue full-length formal with an overlay of white lace, fashioned with a scooped neckline and bouffant skirt fallingfrom a gently gathered waist. She wore matching light blue satin pumf)s and white formal length gloves. She was presented with a bouquet of peppermint carnations. After the ceremony the queen cut the first piece of a lovely Sweetheart cake baked6 by Miss Janet Hackley for the party. Refreshments were then served. Music for the party was provided by records. This week R.C.H.S. students have beerfe prepa*ing*for tjfee 1967-68 iudent Associaticfii electiwlsl^post^ ers for the candidates line the hall and many peopli are wearing buttons supporting the people of their choice.
