Buntin reported fivt 1 which he investigated. i Wednesday afterqoon, Maj - 3rd, two vehicles collidec / when they met on a curve on £ i narrow dirt road, Route 614, Mahlon Atkins of Sperryville was operating a 64 Chevrolet and McKinley Dennis of Washington was driving a 63 Chevrolet when they crashed. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $200. There were nc in juries.
Two crashes occurred Saturday in the Amissville area. On Route 642 a half mile south of Amissville at 4:30 p.m. William Lewis Broyles of . Brandy Station and Ldward Scott of Amissville were involved in a collision when they met on a sharp curve. The Broyles vehicle was a 66 Plymouth Valiant owned by Hoffman Implement Service of Culpeper. The Scott vehicle was a 55 Ford truck owned by H. C. Corder of Front Royal. There were no injuries and damage was estimated at $50 to the truck and $200 to the car, according to Trooper Buntin. Broyles was charged with failing to drive to the right of the road.
An hour later on Route 211 just east of Amissville William Garfield Jenkins of Culpeper in a 64 Chevelle crashed into a 55 Ferguson tractor operated by Floyd Saunders of Amissville. Both vehicles were going the same ; direction when the car struck the tractor in the rear. It was knocked over the bank and broke in half. Saunders was taken to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton by Amissville Rescue Squad where he was admitted with abrasions and lacerations of the face and was x-rayed for possible fractures.
William Virgil Jenkins, 4, a passenger with his parents, received a lacerated upper lip but was not taken to the hospital. . Jenkins was charged with reckless driving, said the officer.
A single car crash occurred May 7 a mile east of Washington on Route 211. Albert Carter Jett of Huntly operating a 59 Ford lo6t control of his vehicle on a slight I curve. He skidded on wet pave! ment ar\d struck the bank on the left of the road. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $75.
