With most of the trees begir ning to leaf, with grazing lands being fertilized, and farm lands being plowed and prepared for planting, it seems only natural that our thoughts consider: growth. Our nation has designated this week as ‘Soil Stewardship Week’, and the Church Calendar designates today: Rogation Sunday. All signs and proclamations are pointing to ‘growth’. Since I was a child in school 1 found meaning in this time of year by taking part in an annual celebration called Arbor Day. Everyone helped to plant a tree where a tree seemed to be needed. So, because our beautification plan for Trinity calls for several more dogwood trees, 1 went up on Stewart Mountain to select two. As I walked over the hills, I began to be aware that most of the small trees which I came across were bent, pulled to the ground, or choked out by vines and honeysuckle.
