We will bfe discussing particular problems and needs of the county and suggested programs to meet these needs will be set up. There are many groups, I’m sure, who could take advantage of and benefit from the programs offered by the extension service. I recently read a timely hint that might be of help to those watching their fat intake. In making a pot of soup, stew, or spaghetti sauce, etc. excess fat can easily be removed by placing an ice cube in a piece of cloth and dipping it into the pot. This would certainly be less time consuming than waiting for the dish to cool down to remove excess fat and grease. Despite stormy weather, the pruning demonstration went on Tuesday. Mr. A. S. Beecher, Extension Horticulturist, offered those present some good information on eliminating unnecessary work involved with caring for plants.
