Brown

George Washington (Kitty) Brown of Sperryville died Friday, May 19 at the age of 83. Mr. Brown, a retired mail carrier, was a native of Rappahannock County, son of the late John w. and Ella Claire Kaleen Brown. His wife was the late Susie Sealock Brown. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harry L. Smith of Washington, D. C., one grand daughter Mrs. Jerry Gossom of Falls Church, a nephew whom he raised, Charles L. Brown of Jonesville, N. C. and several other nephews and nieces. Graveside services were held Sunday in the family section of the Sperryville Cemetery officiated by the Rev. c. Edward Pruitt. Pallbearers were David S. Anderson, Jr., Roger Lee Anderson, Clyde Atkins, Michael Brown, James Leake, L. J. Palmer, Roy B. Leake and Charles Boswell. The Geest Funeral Parlors had charge of the arrangements.
