The Slate Mills Baptist Church was the scene of a surprise shower, held Friday evening May 12, for Mrs. James Kilby of Culpeper, the former Miss Betty Jane Dodson, daughter of Mrs. Charles Racer of Slate Mills, whose marriage to James Kilby, son of Mrs. O. S. Kilby of Culpeper, took place March 24, at the Baptist Parsonage in Novum.
