Paul Poling Elected AVFD President
New officers were elected for the Amissville Fire Department at the January meeting held last Wednesday evening'. Named to the presidency was Paul A. Poling with Nel; son Burner as vice president, jJames Harper became the; secretary with the Rev. Char- j les Kindred as treasurer. The new chief is Braxton James and Levi Atkins, Jr. is his assistant. Edward Hackley was elected as 1st captain and Jack Atkins 2nd captain. First and second lieutenants are Kenneth Bywaters and Roger Stover respectively. Officers for the Amissville Rescue Squad are captain, Bobby Carter and lieutenant, Bobby Scott.
