The Culpeper Host Lions Club and Culpeper Mid-Day loons Club will sponsor a Glaucoma Screening on Sunday, 14 January, 3 to 5 p.m. at the Culpeper Bapt ist Church
More than twenty-sevefc thou sand eight hundred Virginians over the age of thirty-five have glaucoma. Yet only half of them ^are aware that they are victims of this sneak-thief disease which takes sight without warning. Vision destroyed by glaucoma c an never be restored. The disease must be discovered and treated early to save sight before it is lost. These symptoms may indicate glaucoma; loss of side vision; blurred or foggy vision; unsatisfactory frequent changes; inability to adjust the eyes to darkened rooms.
Since there may be no apparent symptoms, you are urged to attend this screening. Blood relatives of known glaucoma patients are especially urged to come by the Virginia Society for the Prevention of Blindness.
