C. E. Johnson, Jr. has the highest indexed Angus bull in the current Culpeper performance feed test program and the top Angus in the Dublin test! Records of these young bulls are as follows: The Culpeper bull, #63, calved January 20, 1967, as a calf had an adjusted average daily gain of 2.17 lbs., a type score of 14 and an index of 138. At the beginning of the feed I test (October 2nd) he weighed ^65 pounds and was again gradS ed 14. At the end of the feed i test(February 19th) he weighj ed 1040 lbs., typed 15 and ! had average gain of 2.68 lbs. ! a day. His calculated 365 day weight was 960 pounds.
