Field and brush fires continue to plague firemen in the county. A vast area at the Floyd Seal property near Flint Hill was burned over Friday. The Flint Hill Fire Company worked hard to combat wind driven flames and called on a Sperryville unit to assist them. The fire was brought under control without serious damage, however, the picture at left, shows how close it came to buildings before it was halted.

Sperryville 7th Grade 4-H

Sperryville IV girls 4-11 met on February 21. The meeting was called to order by the president, Linda Ralls. Alice Thomas led us in the American Pledge and Debbie Jenkins led in the 4-H Pledge. After the meeting, two groups of girls put on skits about Health that they had written. Then Miss Brown heard some reports on outside projects the girls had taken. The meeting was then adjourned.
