To Hold Hearing on 15th
The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries will hold its annual game law hearing in Richmond March 15, Fxecutive Director Chester F. Phelps announced. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Conference Room at the Commlssion’s 7 North 2nd Street office. Time will be alloted on the agenda for persons and groups to express their wishes to the Commission regarding hunting seasons, bag limits and hunting regulations. “This is the most opportune time for the Commission to make hunting law changes since such changes can be incorporated in the Summary Of Virginia Game Laws which is printed and distributed each year about June 15,” Phelps said. The Commission will also consider fish law changes at this time, the normal fall fish law hearing having been deferred to this date. The Commission w i 11 take final action on the proposed 3 week spring gobbler season for 81 counties at this meeting also.
