Bryant Welch has long anticipated reaching the ripe old age of 8 so he could become a Cub Scout. He attained that milestone on February 3 and joined the Flint Hill Den of Rappahannock County Pack 123. At the Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet held Friday night at the parish hall of Trinity Church, Washington, Bryant received his cub emblem and is pinned by his mother as dad stands by. Bryant, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Welch, lives at Flint Hill. Scoutmaster Paul Nichols and Cubmaster Michael Vesti are in background.
