‘Operation Clean-Up’

The Boy Scouts of Rappahannock County have performed a civic service of which all of Rappahannock County can be proud and will hopefully take a cue. The Scouts last Saturday did a wonderful job in an effort to clean up the trash on two of our county’s streams and the adjoining roadway. The scouts from Amissville, Flint Hill, and Washington undertook the cleaning up of the North Fork of the Thornton River and P i n e y Branch. These boys did a beautiful job with over five dump truck loads of trash being hauled away. They started work at 10a.m. and finished up about 3:30. That left time for several innings of softball before a weiner roast provided by the Rap pahannock County Jaycees, project sponsors.
