Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Updike of Washington, Va. were honored with a party on Sunday, March 17 in celebration of their fiftieth wedding anniversary. The party, arranged by relatives, was held at the Updike home on Blue Ridge Avenue. Preparations were made while Mr. and Mrs. Updike were at Sunday School and Church, so they were completely surprised on their return home.
