ine aump crucK was provided by the Virginia Highway Department, courtesy of Mr. M. H. Brady. The driver, Mr. Roy Atkins and helper Mr. Roger Atkins donated their own time to this project. Jaycees helping were Billy Alther who worked on the truck, Jimmy Dodson, Buster Hitt, Bobby Welch and Irvin Kenyon. Special recognition goes to Mr. Jonas Alther and Ned Moffett Jones who worked with their troops. The scouts, we are thankful to say, were too numerous to mention. Some 20 boys were present with Amissville having the greatest number on the job. The Sperryville troop had a scheduled camping trip over the week-end but will make up for it by working several afternoons this week. This will include the putting up of signs being painted by the High School art class. Each troop participating will be recognized by the Jaycees but the hardest job remains for the Jaycees, that of selecting the troop doing the best job. It was truly a grand effort by everyone.
