Crash on Rte. 211
A 1967 Mercury Cougar operated by Glenn Alton Fox of Altoona, Pa. struck ahorse Friday night on Route 211 about five miles eastofWashington. The driver was not injured, but his vehicle sustained damage estimated at $400, according to Trooper J. B. Willis. The horse, owned by David Fannon of Amissville, survived. A collision involving two vehicles occurred on Route 211 less than a mile west of Washington early Sunday morning. Golden William Brent of Falls Church operating a 61 Chevrolet convertible struck the rear of a 55 Chevrolet operated by Samuel Doran Snead of Washington. The crash occurred about 2:15 a.m. said Troop er Willis who investigated. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at about $100 and there were no injuries. Brent was charged with reckless driving and driving on a revoked license.
